BUILDING BUSINESS AND NURTURING CREATIVE TALENT

Film Lab Zanzibar has initiated the TANZANIMATION event together with The Animation Workshop, Denmark. In partnership with professional peers – from AIDI (Africa Institute for Digital Innovation) and TAI, Tanzania and Triggerfish, South Africa – they have developed an agenda for a pilot workshop in 2022.

The aim is to build capacity among producers and animators, many of whom are educators of the new animation-talent-base in Tanzania as well.  One focus is on (Tanz) Animation art expression, including the local capacity to experiment and find your own personal way of framing the world/your world. How does Tanzanian animation grow, boom and develop its own identity? The other focus is on (Tanz) Animation Business Development & Production Management.  Better skills in fundraising, budgeting, co-production, cross border-distribution and insight in the global industry would support the animation industry.
