WHAT IS FILM DEVELOPMENT, HOW TO DO IT AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?

The event aims to inspire filmmakers to give higher priority to the film development phase, which provides a rich and creative quality lift to the final film. The workshop goes through idea development, writing of treatment and director’s statement, budget and activity schedule. It also highlights director/producer teamwork and prepares filmmakers to apply for international film funding such as for the DW Akademie Film Development Fund (since 2021).
