Africa Engage enhances professional cooperation with Africa & better insight into the African continent through film:
- The Generation Africa Delegation at CphDox – in partnership with Steps From across Africa, STEPS brings producers and directors – and altogether 25+ documentary films in development. The films are framing youth, action and the climate crisis / Decarbonize. Decolonize. Reset. - Screenings & Debates around two African films – in partnership with CphDox “The Nights still smell of Gunpowder” by Director Inadelso Cossa, Mozambique Moderator of debate: Moussa Mchangama “The Battle for Laikipia” by Director Peter Murimi, Kenya and Daphne Matziaraki, US Moderator: Vasna Ramasar The Africa Engage Meeting / Collaboration across Borders – in partnership with Steps African and Danish Documentary colleagues talk about the potential of collaboration among us, our production realities and the stories, we are passionate about bringing to life. - Africa Engage in schools– Filmmakers’ Conversations with Danish Students The events addresses how documentary film, which deal with the Sustainable Development Goals, can impact society and lead to change. And the students are invited to discuss, share opinions and ask question
