HOW TO CREATE IMPACT THROUGH DOCUMENTARY FILM

Following up the Documentary Panel in 2022, STEPS and Film Lab Zanzibar invite the professional guests of Zanzibar International Film Festival 2023 to a workshop on how to make impact through documentary film.

Most documentary directors, producers and donors, want their film to mean something, to make a difference and to move audiences. STEPS has now, based on many years of experience, developed an Impact Toolkit. It outlines the strategies, guidelines and models for creating and implementing an impact campaign for a film.

The aim for such a campaign is to achieve outcomes that relate to the social issues portrayed in the film.
